This includes over 20 years extensive Franchise and retail operations experience working closely with the Management and front line selling staff of leading Australian and international retail chains.
Throughout the 1980’s and early 1990’s, Mark held senior management positions in Tooheys Limited, where he was responsible for all Marketing programs and media sponsorships (including the Guinness brand in Australia & New Zealand, the Tooheys 1000 at Bathurst, the Swan Australian Indoor Tennis Tournament and the Tooheys Golden Slipper horse race), and also at KFC (part of Pepsico) where he was responsible for the national marketing and local marketing of over 500 restaurants in Australia and New Zealand.

Mark possesses a great breadth of retail and promotional experience, having also been responsible for the marketing function at OPSM, Barbeques Galore and Burger King Asia Pacific, where he was responsible for the Hungry Jack’s brand and the launch of the Burger King brand in Australia. In 2004, in recognition of his contribution and increasing contribution to the Harvey World Travel Franchise network, Mark was promoted to General Manager Australia and appointed to the boards of a travel wholesaler called Harvey’s Choice (a joint venture between Harvey World Travel & Qantas) and a corporate travel agency network called CT Partners.

Allan Evans, Account Director Marketing
Allan Evans is Account Director of The Marketing Revolution, and brings to our clients over 25 years of “game changer” experience, gained from competing and winning in the most competitive and aggressive retail environments.
Since the late 1980’s Allan learned the definition of accountability as he worked in a variety of sales & marketing roles in IT and media before being headhunted by Telstra, where he was responsible for introducing a number of innovative regional and local initiatives that resulted in Big Pond replacing Ozemail as Australia’s number one ISP, and surging sales of mobiles through national retail channels. At the same time, Allan developed and executed Telstra’s move into the highly lucrative FMCG sector for prepaid mobiles, where he successfully developed cooperative marketing campaigns designed to drive sales through the retail networks of Woolworths, Big W, Coles, Target, Australia Post and many other leading FMCG retailers.
Following this success, in 1999, Allan was tasked with turning around the fortunes of Telstra’s underperforming retail and channel networks. Against the trend, Allan was able to achieve significant gains in revenue, sales and market share by focusing on retail optimisation, best in class marketing services support, innovative and effective national, regional and local marketing campaigns supported by aggressive merchandising; and the implementation of a multi-channel focus and revamped category management strategy.
In 2003, Allan’s achievements and success were becoming noticed across the industry and he was again headhunted to run Crazy Johns and lead their rapid expansion from 30 stores to 100 across Australia, which was achieved in just 18 months.
Two years later, Allan was again approached to head up Leading Edge Telecoms, a division of Leading Edge Group Ltd to guide the company as it evolved from a buying group into a national franchised system. By 2011, Allan had grown the division into 5 business units operating across 5 marketing channels serviced by over 400 staff from 125 franchised and company owned sites. During this period, Allan achieved revenue growth of 200%, EBIT growth of 300% and market share gains which resulted in the business becoming the number one or number two player in each market segment in which it competed.
In 2012, Allan joined The Marketing Revolution to lead the client services delivery team and establish the regional and local marketing programs across Australia for a major QSR group.
Allan has Bachelor of Business Degree majoring in Marketing.
